Walt is a 10-year-old, neutered male, Golden Retriever. He was surrendered due to aggression issues with other dogs in the neighborhood. After spending a month here, we have learned that he really doesn’t like interacting with male dogs, but other than that, he has gotten along well with 30+ dogs that he has met.
Walt does struggle with some separation anxiety and will bark if you are not with him. He does settle down, but it takes some time.
Walt is good with cats and children, mostly enjoys lying next to you on the couch, eating his meals, and going for walks.
Walt recently had a Mast Cell Tumor removed and results are pending from the lab to confirm that the full tumor was removed. Prior to finalizing the adoption, we will make sure we have these results.
As a senior dog, Walt is looking for a place he can live out his golden years (pun 100% intended) and be loved and cared for until the end.
