Join Aska’s Animals, the Mental Health Coalition, and studioCORE Teton Valley for Puppies & Pilates! Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with us as we combine the joy of puppies, movement, and community for a unique experience. This donation-based class, starting at $30, will support Aska’s Animals. Registration is required due to limited space.

What: Pilates class featuring adorable puppies from Aska’s Animals, available for adoption through the Animal Adoption Center.

Sunshine to brighten your wintery day ❄️ And Momma’s getting groomed today, thanks to @redroverjh! Stay tuned for her glow-up.

Huge thanks to @littlescoutcreative for opening her home to this group. Without her support, reaching them wouldn’t have been possible. Due to biosecurity measures and our commitment to keeping all vulnerable puppies healthy, we can’t always take in more than our Puppy Palaces can hold, and direct staff fostering from high-volume shelters poses a risk to the farm.

There’s so much more to it than simply placing them in foster care; there are extensive logistics and careful planning involved. We’re grateful we could create a safe, solid plan to make this one work.

We’re excited to watch these pups thrive here and then pass them on to @freedomboundhounds in December to find their forever homes.

A @dogismycopilotinc flight on a beautiful bluebird day, from some of our amazing partners @epanimalsvc, is good for the soul.

❤️‍🔥 Sophie, along with her two puppies and an orphaned pup she adopted, has settled into Puppy Palace 3. Sophie, who is missing a back foot, will need a leg amputation once her puppies are weaned. She’ll be ready for adoption through @animaladoptioncenterjhwy in December.

❤️‍🔥 Becky and her twin boys are with an incredible foster, @littlescoutcreative. Though our farm is at capacity, we couldn’t bear to leave them behind. They’ll be available for adoption through @freedomboundhounds in December.

These moments are truly special in animal rescue. All three Puppy Palaces are now full with moms and their babies, and we have two dedicated foster homes hard at work!

Meet Cricket! Cricket joined us last weekend, and we’re now looking for her perfect home. Although we don’t usually take on adoption cases, Cricket needed some extra help, and our team decided to rally around her.

Cricket is an 8-year-old female Springer Spaniel who has spent her entire life in Maine. After her owner recently passed away, Cricket traveled to the Tetons with family members. Despite their best efforts, they ultimately made the difficult decision that Cricket wasn’t a fit for their household.

Cricket is fantastic with people and loves playing with other dogs—just not inside her home. She has always been an only dog and enjoys meeting new dog friends outdoors, especially on the trail. However, she prefers to be the only pet indoors, where she can relax undisturbed.

The past couple of years have been a lot for Cricket, with many transitions and caretakers. Now, we’re hoping to find her a stable, loving home to help her feel secure again.

For now, Cricket is cozying up by the fire with one of our board members and has been having playdates with our staff dogs. The cat (or rather — pig) is out of the bag! 🐖

Yesterday, we welcomed a new pig to the farm, and we’d like to formally introduce Stella. Stella’s family reached out to us after trying everything to accommodate her needs. Her life has been filled with love, and she’s certainly been a spoiled pig! Sometimes, despite best efforts, things change, and a situation is no longer a perfect fit. Pigs are highly social animals, and as a solo pig, Stella became increasingly ornery.

After much deliberation, planning, and consideration of our current pig pack, we decided to welcome her with arms wide open. Our team was thrilled to travel to Stella’s home, meet the wonderful people who have cared for her so well, and establish a lasting relationship with them. These decisions are never easy, and our goal is always to make the process as smooth and painless as possible. We hope her family will come to visit her!

Pig integration isn’t all rainbows and butterflies, and their pecking order is no joke! Stella will spend the foreseeable future in her own enclosure as we slowly get everyone used to the new kid on the block.

Just like with our momma dogs, slow is smooth and smooth is fast. We’re excited to continue getting to know her, spoil her as much as her original home did, and treat her to lots of goodies as she adjusts to her new environment.

And as always — your support allows us to say “h3ll yes” to anything from pigs needing sanctuary to stressed momma dogs in shelter systems to canine owners in distress and so much more. ♥️

Today was full of all the feels as we were reminded why our Puppy Palace program is so vital for mama dogs. This is long, but worth the read, we promise 🥰

This new mama dog arrived today from @webercountyanimalshelter and from our communications with them, we knew she was stressed, over-threshold and being very protective of her babies. She was unhandleable in a chaotic, loud, and stressful shelter setting, so we said “yes” to giving her a chance to come to a 🐶🕌. At the root of our work, we focus on Canine Behavior, and everything we heard about her sounded scary but also understandable for a mama dog just trying to keep her babies safe. We are grateful to these partners who reached out.

When she arrived, she was lunging and growling and to be honest she looked athletic enough to move quickly and bite. So, we slowed it all down. It's funny to watch this video because it is in hyperspeed when really it took almost 45 minutes to get her out of her crate. Sure, we could have manhandled her and forced her out and yelled and screamed but that would have established zero trust with her and this was our chance to make a first impression. So, with some time, patience, respecting all of her communications with her body language, we got a leash on, gave her some calming drugs to help bring her cortisol levels down and most importantly we established trust. Without trust, we have nothing with our canine friends.

We will take it day by day, let her decompress and when she is ready, we will get to know her puppies. But for tonight, she and her puppies are safe.

We would like to extend the deepest gratitude to @greenbyblack for spending the entire day going to get this special family of pups on a beautiful fall day.

While I (Aska) am in this video, this whole organization has grown to a place so far beyond just me and without our incredible team of Jenna, Ali, Sam and Lantz, we wouldn't be able to have the impact that we are having. From logistics coordination, to attending events, to providing behavior support and most importantly actually caring for these animals with love, compassion and determination it truly is a team effort and we are so incredibly lucky.

Introducing our General Training Punch Pass, which will offer four personalized sessions with our Behavior Team, designed to meet your dog’s unique needs. Whether you’re welcoming a new puppy, working on recall, or reinforcing basic commands, this flexible option is perfect for tackling common challenges or maintaining good behavior. It’s an in-depth approach tailored just for you and your dog. Purchase on our website and we will hit the training ground running with you.

In addition to the Punch Pass, our monthly Canine Behavior Workshops and Free Behavior Support remain available. Workshops offer a wonderful opportunity for round-table discussions and a deeper dive into canine behavior. You’ll gain valuable insights that apply directly to your dog, helping you set them up for success. We also continue to offer free Behavior Support for urgent or time-sensitive cases, so help is always available when it’s needed most.
