The @simonsits litter is officially ADOPTABLE! 🫶

Their journey has been longer than expected since we welcomed them into our program on June 7 but we’re thrilled to say their adoption journeys can finally begin!

This litter marked a lot of firsts for us: our first litter available for adoption and our first experience navigating a Distemper diagnosis. While it was a tough curveball, it’s not uncommon when working with vulnerable animals coming from overwhelmed shelter systems, especially now, as the overpopulation crisis is worse than it’s been in a very long time. More animals in shelters means a greater risk of disease spread, and this was a real-world reminder of that.

Thankfully, our quarantine protocols did their job, keeping everyone safe. We’re also incredibly grateful to our friends at UW Madison Shelter Medicine Program who consulted with us from day one, helping us move forward with care that was reasonable, responsible, safe, and aligned with gold-standard practices.

We’re now accepting applications and inquiries for this crew! They’ll be placed in foster-to-adopt homes, and we hope to get them settled soon, not just because they’re more than ready (hello, 10 weeks old!) but also because we’d love to finally put their Puppy Palace to use for another litter that needs us. 🐾

We’re happy to walk anyone through the details about the puppies, their mom Isabel, their now-cleared diagnosis, and anything else adoption-related.

We’re so lucky to be supported by this community and beyond. Even when things get thrown our way, we never face them alone. Now let’s find these incredible pups their forever homes. ❤️

Thank you, @cftetonvalley, for another unforgettable Tin Cup event that brought together the community and so many incredible nonprofits doing amazing work.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s custom T-shirts around town and the puppies loved all the attention! In fact, the Birthstone litter is headed to @idahohumanesociety today to begin their adoption journeys. Thank you for helping socialize them!

We don’t quite have the words to express our gratitude for this weekend and for your support throughout this six-week giving campaign. It means more than you know.

If you’ve already donated, THANK YOU! If you haven’t yet (or are inspired to give again), you have until Friday for your gift to be partially matched! #linkinbio

Rosie is still searching for her forever home! She’s been in foster care with @littlescoutcreative for 6 months now and has made incredible progress. Her foster family has been putting in the work—guided by Sam, our CPDT-KA Canine Behavior Manager—and it’s paying off.

Curious if Rosie might be the right fit for your home? Reach out to @littlescoutcreative to learn more, and please help us spread the word. Her people are out there—they just haven’t seen her yet. Social media is the most powerful tool we have connecting animals in need and their humans!

Bonus points if you share her story and make a Tin Cup donation. Your gift helps us keep supporting dogs like Rosie who just need a little extra help rewriting their story. ❤️

Since starting in 2021, we’ve helped nearly 600 mama dogs and puppies rewrite their stories in our Puppy Palaces—stories that often began with a lot of uncertainty.

Just in the past year, our Canine Behavior Program has reached almost 400 dogs and their humans, offering top-notch training and support without the financial hurdles. It’s helping keep pets in homes, shorten shelter stays, and make life better for dogs and their people.

Meanwhile, our 50+ sanctuary animals are living their best lives here on the farm, 24/7, 365.

Want to help us keep it going?

A gift of just $5 through the @cftetonvalley Tin Cup Challenge can go even further thanks to matching funds—and truly change the story for animals who deserve a second chance.

Help us rewrite the stories of animals in need! 🐶 🐷 🐱

Pull up a chair—we’re getting a little vulnerable for a sec. It’s time we share more about Isabel and the @simonsits litter. This is a great opportunity to pull back the curtain on animal rescue: the unpredictability, the power of partnerships, and the very real challenges we face every day.

After completing our quarantine process, mama Isabel started showing signs of an upper respiratory infection. We got her to Victor Vet, and thanks to their thorough care and attention, additional testing revealed she was positive for Distemper, Bordetella, and Coronavirus.

For those who may not know, Canine Distemper is a highly contagious viral disease that impacts the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems—and can be fatal. It’s preventable through vaccination (so double-check that your pets are up to date!), but it’s also incredibly infectious, with a long incubation period that makes it tricky to detect early.

The good news: Isabel and her puppies are all doing really well, and we’re actively working through the logistics of what their adoption journey will look like. Huge thanks to our friends at @uwvetmed for guiding us through this, sponsoring gold-standard testing that would’ve cost us thousands, and helping us stay one step ahead.

We’re hopeful that everyone continues to stay healthy and that adoptions can move forward ASAP. If any additional veterinary care is needed, we’ll be doing everything possible to mitigate risk and protect future adopters and animals in our care.

Moments like this are powerful reminders that so much of this work is outside our control—we can only take things one day at a time. In the meantime, Isabel and her crew are getting a whole lot of love and high-level care, and we’re continuing to accept adoption interest.

And because no good educational rant would be complete without it: we’re in the thick of Tin Cup Giving Season. Your support during fundraisers like this is what makes our work possible. When animals in our program face something as serious as a disease outbreak, your generosity means we can focus on them first, and finances second. Thanks to @cftetonvalley, your donation dollars will go even further. ❤️

We’ve officially rescued and raised 1️⃣2️⃣7️⃣ mama dogs and their puppies this year — and counting! We also have more sanctuary animals on the property than ever before. And through our Canine Behavior Program, we’re supporting dogs, owners, shelters, fosters, and community members in meaningful, lasting ways.

There are countless animals still waiting to turn the page. Through @cftetonvalley Tin Cup, we can help rewrite their stories — together. 📖 ❤️

Happy almost weekend from the puppies and moms on property! Here’s a quick update from our Puppy Palaces:

🐕 Puppy Palace 1: The @simonsits litter!
The good news? They’ll be adoptable through us @askasanimals.
The not-so-good news? They were exposed to an illness, so we’re taking things day by day. This work isn’t easy—it’s constantly evolving and full of challenges, but we’re doing everything we can.

🐾 Puppy Palace 2: Betsy and the Charlotte’s Web litter officially graduated this week and are now adoptable through @animaladoptioncenterjhwy! Our team flipped the palace, and we’re getting ready to welcome a new @rilos_rescue litter on Saturday!

🐶 Puppy Palace 3: Mazzie + her Birthstone litter + her adopted @artscoffeeshop litter
This beautiful blended family will be adoptable through @idahohumanesociety and @rilos_rescue at the end of July!

Never a dull moment here on the farm. Thank you for continuing to support us and our mission!

Mazzie has been an absolute rockstar of a mom! Not only is she caring for her own 8 puppies, but she also lovingly adopted 6 more who lost their mom. She’s taking it all in stride—just like our community during Tin Cup (@cftetonvalley), lifting up the incredible nonprofits working hard through this six-week fundraising stretch.

We see you. We APPRECIATE you. 🫶

This time of year always reminds us how powerful our community is—rallying together to make sure nonprofits like ours can keep doing the work that matters. ❤️ x ♾️
