Allison’s childhood home in Vermont was a haven for critters of all kinds- an injured great horned owl, rambunctious ferrets, Frodo & Rastis the raccoons, guinea pigs, gerbils, pigs, geese, at least one cat and many beloved dogs. Spending time at Aska’s Sanctuary feels like coming home for Allison. Hugely fond of the resident pigs, you can find her feeding Stewie or Ocho carrots, scratching Wally’s belly, or taking pictures of the pig pile in the tack room. As Allison slowly transitions away from 30 plus years of work leading extended wilderness trips & then partnering in a leadership consulting firm, she aims to be of service to the animals (and people) on the farm, as well as in support of the larger animal rescue community. Allison lives in Wilson, WY, with her 3 rescue dogs, and has recently started doing therapy dog visits with her sweet senior pup Violet.
