Your donations through Tin Cup help us rewrite the stories of animals who were simply dealt a tough hand. Because of the Tin Cup Challenge — and the generosity of @cftetonvalley and their challengers — every dollar you give during this campaign is partially matched, making an even bigger impact on the lives we care for.

Thank you for being part of this work. Let’s rewrite some stories together. 🐶 🐷 🐱 🐐 🐓 🐰

We have some very exciting news—Isabel and the @simonsits litter will be adoptable through Aska’s Animals starting in early July! 💥

After seeing the incredible response to their story, we realized something: there are amazing potential adopters right here in our own backyard. Instead of sending them to an adoption partner and adding another stop on their journey, we’re cutting out the middle step and placing them directly into loving homes—hopefully yours. 🐶

For those new here, adoption isn’t usually our lane—it’s a whole operation of its own. We focus on the work many of our partners can’t do: caring for moms and litters in-house for extended stays. And our partners? They’re experts at managing the logistics and long-term follow-up that comes with finding the perfect home. But this time, it just made sense to keep it in the family.

A little about this crew: Isabel is a sweet and curious dachshund mix, and we’re still learning more about her. Her puppies are just over five weeks old and likely to stay small-breed—we don’t know who dad was, but the pups are confident, social, and adorable. Four girls and one boy.

If you’re interested in being considered for adoption, send us an email at info@askasanimals.org with a little about yourself. We can’t wait to find these pups the homes they deserve. ❤️

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Betsy and the Charlotte’s Web litter any more… this morning’s field trip cracked our hearts wide open. 🐄 It was clear today was the best day of their lives thus far. 🥹

Raising puppies means more than just feeding and cuddling. Here in the farm we deeply believe in setting them up for success in the big world—introducing them to new sights, sounds, spaces, and experiences in a way that builds confidence and trust. This kind of thoughtful socialization is one of the most important things we can do to prepare them for life beyond the Puppy Palaces.

Today’s adventure brought the whole crew—including sweet mama Betsy!—to one of our board members’ arenas for a field trip (huge thanks!). The pups got to stretch their legs, sniff new smells, and explore a brand-new environment. They were curious, brave, and downright adorable.

At just over 6 weeks old, we’re entering the final stretch of our time with them before they head to our friends at @animaladoptioncenterjhwy to begin their next chapter and find forever homes. We’ve watched them grow into confident, playful little personalities, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Want to meet them before they’re off on their next journey? These future celebrities will be the main event at Puppy Yoga on 6/21 with @modernbeast X @dayhikeapp X @jacksonholeroasters X @animaladoptioncenterjhwy! 🐶🧘‍♀️

RSVP at events@modernbeast.com and get your adoption applications in with @animaladoptioncenterjhwy now! 🫶

Meet the @simonsits Litter 🐾
A small tribute to Isabel (@simonsits) and the waves she’s making in animal rescue. A reminder that one person fostering a dog in need can truly move the needle in the right direction for animal welfare.

This mama dog—who we’ve named Isabel, after the internet’s favorite foster mom—and her puppies (including little Tiki, named after her current foster pup) arrived today from @epanimalsvc thanks to the incredible team at @dogismycopilotinc. Their backstory is bleak—they were found as strays with not much more info. Unfortunately, Texas is currently the state with the highest annual number of animal euthanasias.

We always prioritize our regional rescue partners first, but when there’s space to help others that likely have a much more grim outcome, we rally. Hence… four litters of puppies currently seeking shelter with us here on the farm.

If you’re not already following @simonsits, she is doing game-changing work for animals in need. Watching Tiki’s journey is a beautiful reminder of how fostering can change one dog’s life—and ripple out to change so many more. Isabel and her puppies will be adoptable with our friends at @idahohumanesociety when they’re ready in a few weeks.

And don’t forget to be brave like Tiki. ✨

Friday night on the farm because rescue doesn’t do normal business hours.

If you’ve found yourself here, welcome to the soapbox. Meet Mazzie. She was surrendered to the shelter after a child in her family was diagnosed with allergies. Life things happen and we get it.

What shouldn’t happen is this: Mazzie giving birth shortly after arriving at the shelter with an accidental litter.

Her paperwork says she was purchased from a breeder. And we can’t say this loud enough: ethical breeders take their dogs back when life throws a curveball. In fact, they require it. We don’t know if her breeder refused or perhaps didn’t know but the result is the same. Nine new dogs are now in the shelter system.

That means nine tiny lives needing weeks in our Puppy Palace, nine spay/neuter surgeries, vaccines, dewormers, food, and round-the-clock care before they’re even ready to find homes.

We were already over our planned capacity with four litters (our max is three), and today we had to say no to another because we physically don’t have the space. That never gets easier.

And the hardest part? This was preventable.

If you’re set on buying from a breeder, do your homework. Ask the hard questions. Make sure they take lifetime responsibility for the dogs they bring into the world. Spay and neuter your animals. If you choose not to, please keep them safely contained.

We do not need more unwanted puppies.

Mazzie is a sweet, clearly well-loved dog who is now navigating shelter life and motherhood all at once. We’ll be with her every step of the way — helping her pups grow strong, hitting milestones, and preparing them for the best futures we can give.

Stay tuned to follow their journey. ❤️

The week leading up to saying goodbye to a litter + their mama is always a little bittersweet. We’ve watched their personalities unfold, poured our time and energy into introducing them to the world, and done everything we can to set them (& their future adopters) up for success.

It hits even harder with dogs like Victoria.

She came to us completely shut down — terrified, clinging & protecting her newborn puppies, scared of the world, unclear if she would ever trust again. Honestly, we didn’t know what her behavioral outcome would be. For the first three weeks, she kept her distance, too scared to let her guard down. But when she finally cracked open — when she realized she was safe and that we could be trusted — she blossomed into this incredible dog. What came out was nothing short of magic.

We’ll never know exactly what her life looked like before this, but we do know her future holds hope, joy, and the chance to be someone’s whole world. @sheltervisibilityproject captured her and what she has to offer one lucky adopter flawlessly.

We try not to dwell on how she ended up like this. Instead, we choose to focus on what comes next. Her story isn’t about where she started… it’s about where she’s going. And she’s ready. She just needs someone with a little extra patience, a little extra love, and the space to let her keep blossoming.

Victoria will be available for adoption through @rilos_rescue on 5/30. If she speaks to you, reach out. She’s ready to give her heart to someone who’s willing to invest in it—and trust us, the return will be immeasurable. And if you’re in the market for a puppy, hers are incredible too.

Thanks, as always, for supporting us so we can do this work. 🥹❤️🫶

Today we welcomed 12 puppies and one incredibly malnourished mama dog, thanks to our new friends doing important work at @thespayceproject. They came all the way from the California desert, where their lives were at risk. It took countless organizations coming together to rescue over 60 dogs, pretty much overnight.

Betsy and the Charlotte’s Web litter are settling in, getting plenty of food and love. We’ll continue getting to know them over the next five weeks. For now, they’re decompressing after a chaotic 48 hours. This litter will cost us $3,000 just to cover basic, routine care. If just 10% of our Instagram followers Venmoed @askasanimals $10, it would be fully covered. Many hands make light work and Betsy and her puppies are a true testament to that. Let’s keep fighting this fight together.

There are too many people to shout out for making this all happen, but you know who you are. ❤️

Meet Rosie! 🐶 🌹

Adoptable + thriving in foster care + utilizing our Canine Behavior Program

Rosie is available for adoption through the Western Fremont County Humane Society in Dubois, WY, and is currently being fostered in Jackson, WY. Over the past few months, Rosie and her foster have worked closely with our Behavior Team to build her confidence and help her blossom. With support from her foster and our CPDT-KA trainer Sam, she’s ready for her forever home! 💛

Here’s what her foster has to say:
“Rosie is ~2 years old, 35 lbs, and a purebred mutt—maybe Border Collie, Kelpie, Whippet, or Greyhound. Adopted at 8 weeks and returned at 2 (through no fault of her own), she arrived under-socialized and fearful. For the past five months, she’s learned that the world is safe.
Rosie is respectful/playful with other dogs (though shy at first), excellent with cats, and has lived with young children. She’d love a home with another dog.

She’s a calm couch potato inside and an adventurous outdoor buddy. She loves walks, short hikes, and forest outings. She’s crate-trained, great on leash, and crushing it in training—especially recall and commands.

She’s most comfortable with women but does fine with men. Kids are OK, but she’d prefer a calm home.
Rosie needs a patient adopter to help her keep growing. In return, she’ll offer deep trust, quiet affection, and loyalty. She’s not overly cuddly, but she shows love in subtle ways—greeting me in the morning, lying at my feet while I cook, or following me from room to room. She sometimes naps alone but always circles back for connection. She’s been one of my most rewarding fosters—watching her bloom has been incredible.”

The White Lotus Litter 🪷 @rilos_rescue

Victoria and her nine puppies ended up in the shelter system in Jerome, ID, as newborns six weeks ago. That’s when our friends at @rilos_rescue reached out to see if we had an open spot in the Puppy Palace—and now their graduation date from the farm is coming up quickly!

Rilo’s Rescue is foster-based and will need volunteer fosters (or adopters!) for all nine puppies and their mom starting June 1. The puppies are curious, attention-seeking, social, and playful. Victoria, their mom, will need someone a bit more savvy with dog behavior. She’s learning to trust the big world and would thrive in a quiet, understanding home that can offer her a little extra TLC. She does well with other dogs and is going to be a very loyal companion.

Fostering is one of the most impactful things you can do for animals right now, as the animal welfare system is currently overwhelmed. If you’ve ever considered it, now is a great time to temporarily open your home and heart to a dog in need of a soft landing. ❤️
