Exciting news for dog parents looking for more training opportunities!

We know that resources for behavior and training support can be limited in our community, and we’re here to help bridge that gap. It is a question we get asked far too often.

Introducing our General Training Punch Pass, which will offer four personalized sessions with our Behavior Team, designed to meet your dog’s unique needs. Whether you’re welcoming a new puppy, working on recall, or reinforcing basic commands, this flexible option is perfect for tackling common challenges or maintaining good behavior. It’s an in-depth approach tailored just for you and your dog. Purchase on our website and we will hit the training ground running with you.

In addition to the Punch Pass, our monthly Canine Behavior Workshops and Free Behavior Support remain available. Workshops offer a wonderful opportunity for round-table discussions and a deeper dive into canine behavior. You’ll gain valuable insights that apply directly to your dog, helping you set them up for success. We also continue to offer free Behavior Support for urgent or time-sensitive cases, so help is always available when it’s needed most.

Olympia/Ollie ❤️‍🔥

As many of you know, we focus on rescuing litters of puppies and their moms from the shelter system, so they are not raised in a harsh environment (health, behavior, and much more) during the most vulnerable time of their lives. We let our incredible partners, who specialize in adoptions, take on dog placement and the massive amount of work it requires. It’s so much more than meets the eye. Every once in a while, the stars align, and we are thrilled to share that Ollie (Olympia), the momma of the Olympics litter, has found her forever home through us.

Her new parents first laid eyes on her after attending our Field of Dreams dinner and never looked back. They spent hours visiting her with our Behavior Team, watching our free resource videos, and ensuring she was perfectly set up. Their dedication, patience, and love for Ollie since day one can truly make us cry (and has many times). We could only hope that every dog coming through finds their unicorn adopters, just like she did.

You know we have a soft spot for the momma dogs, and it truly has been a highlight of our summer to place TWO moms (Snow White/Birdie) in perfect homes. Perhaps we should specialize in adopting out the moms and let the puppies go to partners? 😹

Our cup is full, the team is inspired and growing, the farm is bustling, and we have never been more ready to continue this work thanks to YOU ALL! We feel overwhelmed by our community’s continued support. ❤️‍🔥

A long-overdue spotlight on the Rafeld family, who have been volunteering with us weekly throughout the summer. This multigenerational team consistently shows up ready to work, never shying away from getting their hands dirty. Volunteering on the farm isn’t always glamorous, but no task has been too daunting for this dedicated group!

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all our volunteers. Whether you’re transporting our dogs and puppies, mucking stalls, serving on our board, or supporting us in any other way, we couldn’t do this work without you. ❤️

Field of Dreams ✨🌸🌾

This summer, we had the pleasure of hosting two groups of animal welfare enthusiasts for a field-to-fork, immersive dinner on the farm.

Our goal was to share the farm’s contagious energy in a sustainable way. @aska_langman and board member @arielmannyoga served as chefs, using locally sourced, vegetarian ingredients from @tetonfullcirclefarm. The entire board pitched in—cutting grass, offering up their liquor cabinets, and more. Aska’s husband, Will, who’s also a full-time volunteer, built the table and helped craft signage and menus from scrap wood. We thrifted plates and decor, and food waste went straight to the pigs. Flowers were provided by @redhouseflowers, beer by @grandtetonbrewing, and @thetruckerbar joined us too. It was a fun challenge ensuring that every ticket sold directly supported our mission. All hands on deck for the animals!

The inn is full and has been almost all summer! Here’s a little spark notes of our current residents:

🐶 Puppy Palace 1️⃣ has @chappellroan and her four, Top Hits Corgi mix puppies. They came from @landerpetconnection and will be getting adopted through @landerpetconnection! Fill out an application with them to get in line. Just because they have short legs and are cute though doesn’t mean they’re gonna be a great fit for everyone though. Remember that Corgis (and potentially Cattle Dogs) were bred to be working dogs!

🐶 Puppy Palace 2️⃣ is filled with Olympia and her six, @olympics puppies! They hailed from @landerpetconnection and will be adoptable through @idahohumanesociety. Mom is a small/medium weighing in about 30lbs. These Heinz 57 pups are going to be a great size and temperament if anything like their momma.

🐶 Puppy Palace 3️⃣ is The Crescent City litter (shoutout @sarahjmaas) and the mom, Cervos, and her eight puppies were rescued by @bestfriendsanimalsociety in Kanab, UT before joining our program and will be adoptable on August 19 through our friends at @srasanimalshelter.

We have 2️⃣1️⃣ dogs in total in our care now of different shapes, sizes, breeds and temperaments who will all be available through our regional partners. We are lucky to play a small role in their journey and set them up for as much success as possible! ❤️‍🔥

Let’s talk about expectations. 🤓 🐶

Setting realistic expectations for our canine friends is crucial for their success and well-being, even if it’s not always obvious. Whether you’ve just adopted a dog and are integrating them into your life or you have an established family pet, it’s important to set them up for success. Remember, you don’t need to take your dog to every BBQ, they might not always be able to be unleashed, and sometimes they don’t need to join you on that massive hike. Just like humans, if your dog is uncomfortable, overtired, or overstimulated, they won’t be their best selves either!

How can we adjust our expectations to make our lives easier on ourselves and our canine companions happier?! ❤️
